How to remove your personal data in Nebraska
Residents of Nebraska have a deletion right under the Nebraska Data Privacy Act. Nebraska has no central platform, so each company must be contacted individually, by you or by an authorised agent acting for you.

- How long do they have to respond?
- Generally 45 days under a US state privacy law, often extendable once. A request that has passed its deadline without a substantive answer is worth escalating to the state attorney general or privacy regulator.
- Can someone else send these requests for me?

- What is not covered?
- A state privacy law reaches businesses that meet its thresholds. It does not reach news archives, court records, or an AI model's training data.
